602 was holding the main at Gap waiting for a 603 out of Ozada

Following was new IM train 104 and stopped behind 602

I didn't have time to wait for 603 to arrive at Gap so I couldn't catch all of 104.

522 axles so I figure it was 2+1+1+1 but I did grab the tail end remote stopped just east of the scanner.

I had never heard of one until yesterday. And that's only because the RTC was laying out the 'plan' to get these trains past each other. It started with 602 getting told he was holding the main at Canmore for 201 because the work train was using the siding at Gap. Then 201 gets told he's going in the hole at Canmore for 602 and 104! Then the RTC calls up 201 to check its length (5729'). The work train is finshed putting its train together and is tucked away in a storage track at Gap. When he called up the RTC to cancel his worker on the Gap siding, the RTC asks his length (1100'). The 6234 is then told he's going to Canmore to slide in behind 201 at Canmore (7655') and is given the "for 602 and 104" as well.

The front third of the train was all marine containers. I though I glimpsed a couple of CP containers through the trees about Mile 64.9 but couldn't see any other domestics like Cdn Tire. There were 6-8 autoracks ahead of the tail-end remote. For a wild guess at origin, I'll go with Deltaport. As for destination ...........

Sure a lot of UP SD70ACe's kicking around lately.

There was one on the shop track at CP Clover Bar early last week.
