Food was quite good - freshly cooked eggs, burgers, etc served cheerfully adegfficiently in the Skyline car.

I posted this picture before of the entire train taken from the dome of Evangeline Park
We were in Chateau Argenson.
Sorry I did not take down the other cars.

It sounds like a great trip. 

Do you have any idea how food serivce is provided during the winter. I don't think the Skyline or Park cars operate then.

There is usually a dining car in the winter season, operated as a diner-lounge. I have not been on that train, but many reports, including comments by VIA, indicate the food is re-heated meals. From my experience on other VIA trains with this type of meal service, that is not necessarily a bad thing. I hope those who have experienced this off-peak diner service will provide details.
