Canadian Railroads > Beautiful early fall day on the BCR

The trip several of us made to western Canada in 1989 was one for the books - some of the nicest weather you could ask for, and lots of trains.  We spent several days along the BCR and had nearly crystal clear sky the entire time.  For some reason I scanned this slide, but none of the others.  The train was southbound #12 with 83 cars, date September 10, 1989, location I think was Mons.  It was nice to get a green unit on the point, as those were getting scarce at that time.

Actually, it wasn't quite "official" fall up there yet, but there lots of hints of it in some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere on this planet!

That is Mons alright. The Highway bridge was right behind you.
