Canadian Railroads > Campbell's PassDate: 09/19/19 03:31 Campbell's Pass Author: hoggerdoug Way back June of 1973 east of the Kiskatinaw River, and near mile 47 on the BC Rail Dawson Creek subdivision there was a derailment. These derailments were quite typical of the time, wobbly track and soft ground. Anyhow a west bound train perhaps got out of control on the 1.8 percent grade and upset a few cars. No injuries and no dangerous goods involved. Much to the chagrin of the Engineer, the spot became known as "Campbell's Pass".
