Switcher Saturday
Author: hoggerdoug

April 1984, TH&B 53 somewhere on the "belt line" in Hamilton, ON. appears that it had been in work service with the big hook. This spot looks familiar to me but can't quite place the location or street name. Photo credit to Ray Hoadley.

That work train going through this location makes an excellent historic photo.

Great angle, and neat that the hook is not in basic black; it would be interesting to see a roster shot of it.

Fred, here is an image by Ray Hoadley, April 1984. I think this was at Fisher yard down the Hamilton belt line. I'm hoping Ray can send me more info.

It's amazing how some roads like the TH&B give their wrecking cranes a nice paint job proudly proclaiming who owns them while others like the Rio Grande used a plain single color paint job that didn't give you a clue who owned it.
