TH&B #53 passes through Hamilton, Ontario station on a hazy August 30th, 1980. Was this on CP (or CN) tracks ?

If that is Hunter St station, it is TH&B (CP) tracks.

Is this station now the Hamilton GO Center?

Yes, and being in Canada it is the Hamilton GO Centre. (The spelling is bilingual.)

The TH&B was jointly owned by the NYC and CP. The Hamilton station is a landmark and the interior has many Art Deco details. If I recall, the names TH&B and NYC appear in large aluminum letters on the outside of the building. The TH&B operated NYC designed Hudson steam locomotives on this route.

From what I understand the TH&B had two NYC Hudsons? Oh, to have had at last one found as a "barn find" years later... If by some strange fate I run into a lot of money (millions) I'll have an NYC Hudson built from the ground up. But I guess God loves me too much to ruin me like that. <G>
