Canadian Railroads > The narrow stripe scheme, love it or hate itDate: 11/04/19 19:36 The narrow stripe scheme, love it or hate it Author: EL833 The Canadian Pacific has had several variations of it's "Action Red" scheme over the years. Hands down my favorite was the narrow stripe version as seen here on an M636 at Windsor, Ontario in July 1976. While I'm sure it was a PITA to apply, it stood out.

Believe it or not the original plan, that was released to the media and the public, had motive power painted black, with a red Multimark. No units were ever painted in this scheme. Thank goodness someone had a sober second thought about black diesels. Date: 11/05/19 15:13 Re: The narrow stripe scheme, love it or hate it Author: perklocal Amen Roger ! I loved those thin stripes all across the nose too. It must have been very time consuming masking them off.
