A fire broke out in what is described as an "unused building" at the CN diesel servicing and car shop facility in Halifax yesterday about 17:00 local time.

At 08:00 this morning the fire department was still on the scene with at least two large pieces of apparatus, pouring water on the smouldering remains.  I couldn't get very close for a look, but it appears to be a building used at one time by the Bridges and Buildings department.  Although the turntable remains at the facility, the roundhouse itself was torn down decades ago.
