An MLW Monday Meet
Author: ghCBNS

We're in the yard at Truro, Nova Scotia in February 1978. A freight led by a pair of big MLWs (C-630 + M-636) is arriving from Sydney.....as the Truro shunter (an RS-18) is moving the power (also RS-18s) and equipment for #18 (aka the Cabot) down to the passenger station to await the e/b Ocean from Montreal.

The Ocean with an FPA-4 leading will move the through cars to Sydney......a Coach, Dayniter and Cafe-Lounge over to the rear of #18.

Very nice series. What great passenger service back in the day.

Interesting building in shot 2. Yardmaster? Crossing tower?

Smoke, a gorgeous tower, symmetrical step-riders; what's not to like?
