CP S-2 1/2?
Author: briancdn

CP S-2 7041 has one blunt truck and one AAR truck. I've seen photos of this unit in the 1960's in block lettering with the two trucks; so it wasn't a recent swap. It would make an interesting model! Built by Alco in 1946, ended up in Port Coquitlam BC before being scrapped.

At Lachine, Quebec 1978.

Great catch. The L&N also had at least one ALCO switcher (L&N 2309) with two different types of trucks.

Any report from crews on the ride or performance?

I think they said that the ride "wasn't half bad." ; )

Well this unit has a turbo judging by the stack. So this would be a S-2/4. 1000HP on mismatched shoes.

Not attractive, but interesting. 7011 ran around this way too.
