A little variety in this week's MLW Monday

1) A set of big MLW power led by C-630M 2004 eastbound through Dorval in 1982.

2) A set of light power heads for Taschereau Yard through Lachine led by RS-18 3113 through Lachine in 1983

3) A westbound from Quebec City crosses the Richelieu river at Beloiel led by FPA-4 6791 in 1984

Did VIA shut down the Pt St Charles shop and get maintenance done by the CN? (F9B in engine move.)

Like the last photo. Some really good CN passenger shots taken there.

I don't remember when exactly the VIA shop was completed at the Pointe. It's possible that minor work, fuel or inspections were being done at Taschereau.

The Montreal Maintenance Center open in April of 1983. 

3113 was one on CN's RS-18s geared for 80 mph, equipped with a steam line but no steam generator so could be used in passenger service.  VIA did not buy any RS-18s from the railways but leased many of them.
