Canadian Railroads > Penn Central in Toronto, 1970Date: 03/22/20 18:12 Penn Central in Toronto, 1970 Author: eminence_grise In the 1970's, the Toronto,Hamilton & Buffalo operated a daily freight between the cities named in their title. T.H.&B was jointly owned by CP and the NYC.
The motive power on the through freight in the 1970's was TH&B power one day, NYC (and later PC) the next. In this image, the TH&B freight is shown departing CP's Agincourt yard near Toronto on January 24th,1970. Question? Are those GP9's on this freight part of a small fleet of Canadian built NYC locomotives? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/22/20 18:14 by eminence_grise. By this date and time the engines 7429 and 7431 had been re-assigned out on the US. Gerry Gaugl Ottawa ON Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/22/20 19:41 by moonliter.
