Canadian Railroads > GMD-1 GoodnessDate: 05/13/20 10:41 GMD-1 Goodness Author: DundasMP23 I rediscovered this video on my iPhone while downloading work-related photos yesterday. This is from March 21; CN 514 switching in Thamesville, ON with CN GMD-1us 1439 and 1444. The sun angle wasn't any good for a photo so I decided to take a short video. The audio makes the video! Enjoy.

When rebuilt into the 1400-series they were extensively upgraded and received the four-axle Flexicoil trucks,12-645 prime movers and a long list of other upgrades. Retaining the D15C main generator derated them to 1350 hp but they are essentially a SW-1500 on a lengthened frame to accommodate the short hood. Dick Samuels Edited 1 time(s).
