Canadian Railroads > Apple Blossom Time in Nova ScotiaDate: 05/16/20 09:07 Apple Blossom Time in Nova Scotia Author: cn6218 One of my regrets about the Windsor & Hantsport was not being able to work some apple blossoms into a scene with a train. For some reason, it just never seemed to come together for me, although there were a few places with orchards, or even single wild apple trees near the tracks.
About the best I could do was this shot, from May 29, 2001 of GP38-2 4723, working as CN train 507, dropping off a single tank of cooking oil for the WHRC at Windsor Jct. The WHRC wayfreight would pick it up later and deliver it to the Frito-Lay potato chip plant near the end of track in New Minas, in the Annapolis Valley, but I wasn't around to get that part of the trip.
