recent trains on the sea to sky route
Author: loleta

Here are some recent photos on CN's Squamish Sub, mostly of train 546 which runs between North Vancouver and Squamish.
1. 546 southbound beneath Mt. Garibaldi.
2. Northbound at the old Britannia copper mine.
3. Crossing the Stawamus River south of Squamish.

4. 546 at Squamish South.
5, 6. Although trains north of Squamish have ended, CN ran this abbreviated 571 to take 2 empties to a customer at Mt. Currie which receives "one or two cars every couple of months." Here's the train near McGuire.

Number 1 is spectacular, and the logging truck is just perfect, too.

Thks for the post. Enjoyed #2- looks like the Brittania Beach mine building has been given a nice renovation/restoration. Was there many moons ago.
