MLW Monday (from Mexico)...
Author: PasadenaSub

During a week-long trip with my wife and her sister's family to the Merida, Yucatan, Mexico area in June of 2018 we visited the small railroad museum there, Museo de los Ferrocarriles de Yucatan - located in the remains of former freight yard in Merida.  Quite a collection of Alco power, with a couple of MLW-built units.

First was NdeM 7282, a low-nose RS11 built in 1963 and also FNM M424W 9550, the last unit of the original NdeM order of these, built in 1980.  The faded paint leads me to believe the unit has been here a long time.

There was only one, the former SBC F painted all white.
I wanted to get a roster of it, but some teens began filming a video (or TV) using the unit as a backdrop.
It can be seen behind this ALCO switcher.

I believe that is an Leslie RS-25, usually seen on end cab switchers.
