Canadian Railroads > Way Back WednesdayDate: 07/22/20 04:05 Way Back Wednesday Author: hoggerdoug October 1970 a friend and I spent some time at or near Canfield Junction in southern Ontario. Canfield was a great place for train watching, the double track NYC / PC, CASO sub and diamond with the CN Dunnville sub as well as the diamond with CN Cayuga sub.
Three images of CN train 758 on the Dunnville sub at or near Canfield. Date: 07/22/20 04:09 Re: Way Back Wednesday Author: hoggerdoug One Mile to Canfield
NYC caboose on train NY4 The double track CASO, it's all gone now except for my Kodak Instamatic memories. On this day we spent about 9 hours in the area, saw 9 trains from 4 railroads, CN, C&O, PC and N&W. Doug Date: 07/22/20 09:20 Re: Way Back Wednesday Author: bobdavis Probably not much to see at that spot any more. I remember train NY-4 very well when I was starting with PC in 1968-69. I was assigned to Detroit for a while and that was one of the hottest trains on the railroad, always carrying a lot of loaded reefers for the New York City market. Thanks for sharing these pics.
