I love that 8th shot you have in particular! Is that alongside a highway or a hike in to get to that spot? Magellan Date: 07/28/20 07:03 Re: July on the Laggan Author: KickingHorse Magellan13 Wrote:

I have it mentally noted for next time I am out that way. A beautiful spot! Magellan Date: 07/28/20 19:44 Re: July on the Laggan Author: KickingHorse GN1969 Wrote:

Not much has changed other than they've been working on filling the subgrade. Ballast and rails still a ways off. Date: 07/29/20 23:47 Re: July on the Laggan Author: isambard Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
Date: 07/31/20 03:46 Re: July on the Laggan Author: bakersfielddave Most days of the week a freight eastbound comes into revelstoke off the Sushwap comprising a lot of oil tanks then a string of boxcar then a few double stacks with a mid train dpu then filled out with another string of tank cars....does this train hand off the stacks en route...and what is its number...seems to get to revelstoke between 1900 and 2100 ....?

Sounds like 201 which is a daily Edmonton - Vancouver manifest. It usually comes through Canmore in the 10:00 - 12:00 range. The majority of the tankers will have 1202 (diesel) placards. There is no dedicated 100 series Edmonton-Vancouver intermodal train so that traffic goes on 200/201. The existing Trans-Mountain pipeline is capable of shipping both crude and diesel but now it's just crude and the diesel goes by rail. The other Vancouver-Calgary daily manifest pair 400/401 will also have a lot of tankers (also mostly diesel) but those are coming and going from other refineries like Regina. 400/401 won't have any IM and will have more specialty grain hoppers, box cars, centerbeam flats and other miscellaneous stuff. 200/201 will generally not do any lifts or setoffs between Vancouver and Calgary. The 400/401 pair does all that. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/31/20 08:37 by KickingHorse.
