Getting Back to the "New Normal"
Author: cn6218

After being annulled for almost a month, trains 407/408 between Dartmouth and Moncton are back to running four times a week (previously they were daily).

On July 22, 407 was making their pickup at Truro in the late afternoon, rather than the old morning schedule.  The pair of locomotives had about 7200 feet of train, from Dartmouth, Truro and the CBNS, by the time they headed west on the Springhill Sub.

The whole train was stretched out over the humps at Belmont siding in the second image.

On the way back home to Halifax, I met an extra 121 which had left Rockingham as 407 was leaving Truro.  They're shown here passing the west end of Milford with a pair of GEs and double-stacks.  A regular 121 would leave later that evening with more containers and the "junk" from Halifax.

Geoff, I like your second image with the freight beside the double searchlight signal. Thanks for sharing scenes from Canada. --Kelly
