VIA Rail Annual Public Meeting
Author: DrawingroomA

Today VIA presented its so-called Annual Public Meeting. It seemed to me to have even less information than usual. It was basically a précis of the annual report which I had already read. It is available on VIA's Website or on their Youtube and Facebook sites.

What interests me most is the questions and answers. Last year there were so many questions it took a few months to post the answers. This year, VIA said they would answer the most commonly asked questions. As usual, most questions were answered as if they were answered by "Sir Humphrey Appleby".  Fans of that hilarious British TV series Yes, Minister/Yes, Prime Minister will know what I mean.

Those who may be planning on travelling on a VIA train may find some, but not much, information here.

Hii David. Thanks for posting this. I read half way down and haven't  found a specific substantive answer yet.

Bureaucrats specialize in gobble-de-gook.   Lots of words saying nothing.  Employing all the current buzzwords.  All smoke and mirrors.

People who ask too many questions and deep penetrating questions are seen as a great irritant and avoided at all costs.

Sounds like your typical stockholder meeting. Many lips moving, nothing being said.
