Canadian Railroads > Fall Season on CN's Edson SubDate: 10/10/20 19:10 Fall Season on CN's Edson Sub Author: tsokolan The fall colours in the Edmonton Alberta area hit peak during the end of September and into the first week of October this year.. Usually CN's Edson Subdivision west of Edmonton is a good area to shoot trains in fall coulours, so I spent a few days trying to capture a few images.
1. U725, the regular unit rock train from Cadomin to Edmonton, heads west back to the mine at Mile 29 of the Edson Sub. A single ex. CNW C40-8 is sufficent power to move the short string of empties. September 29 2020 2. Company service train O499, with a cut of loaded grain hoppers on the head end, passes eastbound freight A416 at Mile 29 of the Edson Sub. September 29 2020 3. X310 crosses the Pembina River at Entwistle Alberta with a C40-8M and a Dash 9 on the point. September 23 2020 -Trevor Date: 10/10/20 19:16 Re: Fall Season on CN's Edson Sub Author: tsokolan 4. A416 has 9 units on the head end bound for the shops at Edmonton Alberta on the morning of October 2nd. The freight is passing alongside Lake Wabamun, west of Edmonton Alberta
5. Q196 crosses over Alberta Highway 16 near Gainford on Septmeber 26th 6. A416 crosses the Magnolia Trestle west of Gainford Alberta. September 26th 2020
8. Q119 passes a stand of colour west of Wildwood Alberta, on October 2 2020 9. The same Q119 as previous, only a few miles to the east at Entwistle AB.
