CN 120 today
Author: briancdn

A short visit to Beloeil today to catch CN 120 eastbound on the bridge over the Richelieu. A surprise was the inspection car beside the mid train DPU. I've never seen this car before, maybe others can enlighten us as to what's inside and what it does.

CN 120 was preceded by a VIA train destined for Quebec City with a nice consist. The paint on the trailing Budd is reminiscent of the old D&H.

I was schooled on this topic back in January: https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?15,4946302,4946302#msg-4946302

Interesting to see a DPU on 120, I haven't seen one arrive here in Halifax on 120 now for months.  121 generally goes out DPU, but all the power has been up front for 120.

I haven't seen a passenger train in months either. :-(

Thanks for that. A lot of speculation in that post, but it gives us all a general idea. Neat to see it!
I hope for you that the Ocean returns before too long

Interesting to note that it has the "CNIS" reporting marks....Canadian National International Service... so that it can operate on the CN's trackage in the US. At least that is what that mark meant back in my ACR days a long time ago :)
