Canadian Railroads > No More Pole LineDate: 11/05/20 06:34 No More Pole Line Author: cn6218 Back during the conductors' strike in the winter, CN finally got around to removing some more of the wires and poles along the Bedford Sub, just west of Halifax, NS. I can't say for sure, but I suspect the wires haven't been functional since the ABS signals were deactivated almost 20 years ago. One of the spots that opened up was near mile 14, as the track crosses Rocky Lake on a causeway. On October 28, 2020 ES44DC led an all-DC consist of SD70M-2s 8886 and 8944 powering 120 towards Halifax at 10:28. The remains of a pretty good fall foliage season were still hanging on in the background.
