Canadian Railroads > Minor cutbacks in VIA "corridor" serviceDate: 01/07/21 13:07 Minor cutbacks in VIA "corridor" service Author: DrawingroomA A while back VIA added one round trip between Toronto and Ottawa and Toronto and Montreal on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. These are being withdrawn, with the last runs on Monday the 11th of January. This is not surprising, considering the province-wide lockdown in Ontario and the curfew in Québec. Even in normal times, passenger numbers drop in the first part of the year after a busy holiday season.

Cases are spiking in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia although very low compared to other Provinces.....so the QC-NB and NB-NS Border the Ocean would have to cross remains closed except to essential travel.
