Ex-CN SW1200rs # 1259, labelled "Alberta Prairie" has been sitting in Moose Jaw, Sk. for a couple of weeks. Sources say it is being moved to Fillmore, Sk.  Does anyone know what's in Fillmore, Sk?    Is there a museum there?  Who is going to use it?  Fred.

Some of the equipment on the Alberta Prairie Rail at Stettler is owned by G&H , a small supermarket chain, including the SW1200rs. Probably it has been sold by G&H

My guess is that the SW1200rs is at Moose Jaw while a decision is made by the Stewart Southern Railway. Just this week they took delivery of a FURX GP38-2.

One of the previous owners of SSR is building a reload centre just south of Weyburn on the closed CP Radville Subdivision, which is a branch off the Weburn Subdivision (Pasqua-North Portal SK/ND.)

Fillmore SK is the headquarters of the SSR, including a two track shop. SSR has repaired and scrapped locomotives at Fillmore. Here's an educated guess. The SW1200rs may be going to the reload centre at Weyburn when it opens later in 2021. The SSR shop guys have a heavy duty repair truck, and they may fix up the SW1200rs at Moose Jaw, or they may take it to Fillmore to fix it up.

Last report was headed to JLCX Capreol Ontario. Alberta Prairie had sold the unit a few months before to an unknown buyer. Ex Great Western M420 2001 was coupled to the SW in MJ recently, that unit has been sold to the Keewatin Railway

An update on this: 1259 is on the shop track in Regina. So I would have to say the rumour about Fillmore is more accurate
