Turntable Tuesday - CN MLW Big Rides, VIA Watches at Halifax

From three sunless days on a business trip to Halifax, this shot is at Fairview roundhouse on June 17, 1982. I saw more VIA RDC's than I cared to, given that's what was on most of their trains at the time. VIA 6136 watches as CN C-630M 2033 backs off the turntable into the roundhouse for servicing. The distant VIA locomotives are 6767, 6864, and 6871, destined to run later in the day on #15, passing Rockingham yard just northwest of here at 1343.

May be sunless, but we're all glad you took the photo. A place I never visited. Love turntable shots, even better with a big MLW rumbling off the table.
