Sunshine and an SD70M-2
Author: cn6218

On February 10, the second day after a big snowstorm, 120 wasn't running quite as late, and I only got as far as Londonderry, NS before shooting them (see the Feb. 9 shots here: In The Aftermath of the Storm (trainorders.com)  ).

I had some trouble with windshield glare the day before, so was pleased to see that SD70M-2 8889 was leading as they rounded the curve in Londonderry, at 11:07.  I tried a long telephoto shot at Shubenacadie East, and of course the lead unit wasn't a problem with its vertical glass, but the trailing SD75I practically stabbed me in the eye, The Agony of Defeat 50533 | When I first saw this train at L… | Flickr  Fortunately, I was able to salvage something there with the second camera and a much shorter lens, as the train rocketed past on the "fast" track.

I did get one more long tele shot before the chase was over, at Bedford Quarry.  This time the trailing units were well hidden behind the leader, so no danger of glare.
