Much more to do in Canadian rail safety

Canada's government auditing agency warns that many recommendations in their 2013 safety report have not been implemented by the nation's railroads. In particular, the auditor warned that, eight years after the Lac Megantic disaster, it is unclear whether the government's rail oversight has made any impact on safety improvements. Apparently, neither the Transport Canada agency nor the railroads measure these things.
