Sightseer Sunday - Rocky Mountaineer at Exshaw, AB
Author: feclark

In 2008, our road trip was a southern one, to Medicine Hat, then into the Crowsnest Pass, then up to Golden for the let out to Calgary before returning home to Edmonton. It was a really spotty trip as far as weather was concerned, and I was also in the mode of checking out Whackochrome (Fuji), so I'd be ready for the demise of K64. Because of our itinerary, the Rocky Mountaineer hadn't been on our radar at all. We woke up at Gap siding, worked east a bit, and got ambushed by #101 immediately west of Exshaw, WB at 0758. Point duties were held by 8015 and 8014 on July 6. I never really liked the colours or grain of the ASA 100 Fujichrome, but I have to admit it didn't seem to block up the way K64 did in shadows.
