Canadian Railroads > Sightseer Sunday - Rocky Mountaineer with CP PowerDate: 04/04/21 13:24 Sightseer Sunday - Rocky Mountaineer with CP Power Author: feclark On July 15, 2010, my buddy and I were set up at the peak of the Black Canyon Ranch near Ashcroft, BC (with permission). On other ventures we'd driven down to the Black Canyon siding, but were struck by the morning potential of this vantage point. So we stayed up top, and among other movements shot #609 at 1040, behind RMRR 8012 and CP 5960, with a consist of 19 cars. That year was our first and only exposure to the Popsicle scheme on RMRR equipment. To orient you a bit, the train is about to duck into the CN tunnel that is followed by the trestle at Black Canyon carrying their rails onto the same side of the canyon as CP.
