Canadian Railroads > Chasing 407 in Fresh Snow and SunshineDate: 04/05/21 05:31 Chasing 407 in Fresh Snow and Sunshine Author: cn6218 February 26, 2021 was another of those days that 407 was on the late side side leaving Dartmouth, NS for its daily trip to New Brunswick. With a roughly noon-time departure, it was almost three hours later, once they had finished the CBNS pickup in Truro, that they were crossing the East Mines trestle at mile 15 of the Springhill Sub.
With patchy C44-9WL 2515, and SD75I 5777 for power and only a short train, they were at Springhill Jct. barely an hour later. In the final frame, train 407 is leaving the town of Amherst behind at 16:17 as they head for the New Brunswick border. If all goes well, they should be tying up at Gordon Yard in Moncton in about an hour. Brian N. Date: 04/05/21 05:53 Re: Chasing 407 in Fresh Snow and Sunshine Author: newtonville150 That was the day I arrived in Nova Scotia. I could have shot that train if I didn't immediately have to self-isolate for 14 days :(
