Canadian Railroads > Car 100Date: 04/07/21 12:24 Car 100 Author: Blackfoot If I'm reading my Trackside Guide correctly, this car was originally built for the Royal Train that carried the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall on their 1901 visit to Canada, then was later used by Prime Minister W.L. MacKenzie King. All I know for sure is that it looked mighty fine sitting under the trainshed in downtown Calgary in August of 1980.

Photo 1: The good news is that the car is still in Calgary, the bad news is I did not have the space the Dwayne had when I took my shot of the car. =15.6px: ( Photo 2: The car's story Both photo taken on 29th of September, 2019 at Calgary's Heritage Park. Well worth the visit. Gerry Gaugl Ottawa ON |
