Before The Renaissance

On April 4, 2003, the westbound Ocean was 4 miles into its journey from Halifax, NS to Montreal, QC.  The Ocean was still an all-Budd train at this point, but in May VIA would send some Renaissance cars to Halifax for crew familiarization, and by the end of the year one full set of equipment would be in revenue service.
