Canadian Railroads > MLW Monday in Windsor, Nova ScotiaDate: 05/10/21 04:38 MLW Monday in Windsor, Nova Scotia Author: cn6218 Windsor & Hantsport RS-23s 8036, 8042 and 8037 are just east of Windsor, NS on the Truro Spur on November 21, 2001 as they head back to the mine with a train of empty hoppers.
The Hwy 101 overpass in the background was recently twinned with the rest of the highway, even though the WHRC hasn't run a train in more than 10 years. With the mining company having given up their leases and completely shut down, it seems increasingly unlikely the railway will operate again.
