The Less Popular Side of Bayview Jct.
Author: cn6218

When I think of Bayview Jct., the connection between the Oakville and Dundas Subs in Southern Ontario, I usually imagine a scene shot from the footbridge into the Royal Botanical Gardens.  But late in the day, this one also works, taken from York Blvd. as it crosses over the start of the Dundas Sub.  At 17:55 on August 20, 2002, class P42DC 900 was leading the five LRC cars of VIA train 83 along the south track of the Dundas Sub.

Nice. Lot's of great angles in the Bayview area. I've always been partial to the eastbound shot coming off Dundas Hill that includes the "cowpath" connecting track and the CP line snaking down at the higher elevation.

Just a guess, but using weed killer next to the Royal Botantical Gardens is probably asking for more attention than even CN wants. :-)
