Canadian Railroads > Shipping airDate: 09/11/21 18:15 Shipping air Author: newtonville150 September 11th, 2021, A407 out of the intermodal yard at Rockingham (Halifax), 484 axles, 2 units (CN 3064 and CN 8877) and a whole train of empty well cars, by Springhill Jct at 14:35.
You can make out both the Springhill Jct station sign and the highway 2 overpass above the first well car. Apparently about half of this train was actually lifted from the siding at Alton on the Bedford sub. The well cars were destined for storage in Moncton. ...John Reay Springhill, NS Date: 09/11/21 20:44 Re: Shipping air Author: PHall The Santa Fe and the BNSF call those trains "Bare Tables".

Proud Foamer OAKLEY, CA Date: 09/11/21 23:09 Re: Shipping air Author: feclark On Friday, September 10, #199 went through Bruce on the Wainwright Sub with 103 empty well cars behind DPU 3841 (there were revenue cars in this 720-axle train), and #101 sailed over Fabyan trestle with what I counted as 100 emply wells plus 74 loaded platforms in its 500 axles (does that work mathematically? It depends on whether it's 3 or 5 car articulation. The axle count sounds a bit low). I might have my act together for a Wainwright Wednesday post.

Certainly if they're spine cars or flat cars for piggyback traffic, but do they call them that if they're well cars for double-stack containers? ..jr Date: 09/12/21 15:36 Re: Shipping air Author: PHall newtonville150 Wrote:
