Canadian Railroads > More NB Southern from October 3, 2021Date: 10/13/21 19:33 More NB Southern from October 3, 2021 Author: cn6218 While in New Brunswick on October 3 to see the CP business train, I was also able to chase NB Southern's daily freight, 907, from Westfield Beach to McAdam. Here are a few more photos from that day that didn't make the cut for the first post last week.
NBSR 907, with road slug GMTX 958, GP40-3M 3050, SD70M-2 6406 and SD40-2 6340 was paralleling NB Rt. 177 with about 50 cars, in the first image at Sagwa. A little more than an hour later, the train was at the west mileboard for Fredericton Jct., along Rt.101. 50 minutes after that, they were passing the west switch of the only remaining siding on the McAdam Sub, the 6171 ft. Harvey Siding. The train averaged a track speed of about 25 mph while we were following it, making for a fairly leisurely chase.
