December 1973,  PGE 629 on a frosty cold morning in Chetwynd, BC. Almost qualifies for the Nostalgia board.
Wish I had taken more pictures over the years !!!

Nice photo. Most of the PGE diesels like this one had the early M5H horns developed by Bob Swanson, the inventor of
the multi-chime locomotive horn.

Completely gorgeous, Doug! Great subject, perfect lighting and exposure, and you managed to avoid what I did too often - leave footprints to include in my photos.

Fred, I've left lots of foot prints in the snow and showing in the photo. I have learned to be more careful if possible.  Then again prints in the snow show how determined I was to get the image. Knee deep snow be damned.
Thanks for your kind remarks regarding the image.. Certainly was a long time ago but I still remember standing there.
