Cleaning Out the Exhaust at Birch Cove, NS
Author: cn6218

After languishing in the yard for a few days, on July 15, 1999 GP38-2W 4773 has been assigned to local 507, and has been let out on the main line.  The train is approaching mile 7, where the Halifax Transfer track becomes the north main track of the Bedford Sub, and restricted speed no longer applies.  Behind the Geep is a load of cooking oil and some empty gypsum hoppers for the Windsor & Hantsport, and then some loads of cement which will be spotted at Bedford Quarry on the way back.
