CN train 148 used to be touted as an "express" between Chicago and Halifax, with a transit time of less than 60 hours (I think I have that time more or less correct).  It would usually get in before daybreak, but the railway couldn't resist adding more traffic to it, and it eventually got slower and slower.  That was likely what had happened here, as GE Dash 9-44CWL 2501 led the train past the switch to the Dartmouth Sub in Windsor Jct. on the morning of April 7, 2001.  Today 148 terminates in Montreal, and anything on it for Halifax goes on the next day's 120.  Although there are signs that the new operators at the south end container pier in Halifax, PSA, would like to see that practice change.  For now there is the odd Q120 (regular train has become Z120) from Chicago to Halifax, and sometimes it gets the 122 moniker.
