Solo SD60F
Author: cn6218

The moon was full and the tide was high, as 121 departed Halifax on May 25, 2002.  CN power control must have been feeling lucky, since they assigned just a single SD60F to the train (and no DPUs in 2002!).

In Bedford Basin, behind the first car, is a jack up drill rig, probably destined for the Sable offshore gas field, which was just starting production 20 years ago.

Believe it or not, still happening occasionally on the Aberdeen, Carolina & Western Railway in North Carolina.  This photo was taken on 12/16/21.  The ACWR bought 15 of these but never used the majority.  5521 may be the only one in service.
