3-- CN 4102 leading a westward passenger train at Bayview Junction, Ontario, May 1971

4-- TH&B 77 leading the CP Rail "Starlite" at Bayview Junction, Ontario, May 1971, in a mile or so will diverge off the CN and into the TH&B.
5-- TH&B 75 leading the Starlite back to Toronto, Bayview Jct, May 1971
6-- TH&B 73 leading the East Local, banging over the NYC-PC double track at E&O tower, June 1971

Good stuff as always.
Trying to figure out the roof ductwork on the Geep in #3 but noticed it's coupled to a Jordan Spreader. Must be for flying snow as opposed to cold temperatures.

What a nice series, Doug! I started shooting in 1976, so 3 GP9s on the headend of an important freight (if the auto racks are an indicator) is novel to me. The TH&B diamond shot is really crisp for the Instamatic.

Exactly; CN equipped some Geeps, some Fs, and some RS-18s with these shields for snow fighting service.
