Canadian Railroads > Second Gypsum in DaylightDate: 07/15/22 13:45 Second Gypsum in Daylight Author: cn6218 There's only a second gypsum train between Wrights Cove in Dartmouth and the mine in East Milford, NS when demand is high enough, and it almost always runs at night. So it was quite a catch to be able to shoot 513 (511 is the regular, every day gypsum train) at the East Milford mine on July 6, 2012. The crew had already taken the front of the train into the yard, and were going back across the combination road and rail bridge to get the rear of the train. During the daytime, the National Gypsum switcher would be working and be able to pull the rear cars off and stick them in another track, but there was only a skeleton crew on in the evenings to operate the loading equipment.
