The video in the OP was taken when this line was powered by 2.4 kV DC catenary. Around 1995, the line was rebuilt with 25 kV AC catenary, and all the old equipment was replaced with the MR-90 EMUs (old equipment scrapped, except for a donation or two). Now, the line is being rebuilt yet again for the REM "automated" urban rail project.

According to Railpace, 2 MR90 MU cars will go to Exprorail, the other 56 to be scrapped, after just 25 years of service.
