The white flags indicate that it's an extra. It is the Brockville Turn, which would have run down the CP line from Smiths Falls, and return later in the day. So it's not a yard job, and needed the flags. The Brockville Sub was also (still is) how VIA gets between Toronto and Ottawa, via Brockville and Smiths Falls. Fred |
