Canadian Railroads > 3 from 2008Date: 11/26/22 11:40 3 from 2008 Author: hoggerdoug Three images on BC Rail on this date back in 2008.
BCOL 4623, leading unit that day. BCOL RCL743 ex O&W 9950, if I recall we were stopped at Colebank and had time for couple of pictures. Sunset on Cotwood Hill. descending the 2 percent grade, few miles north of Quesnel, BC Doug Date: 11/26/22 13:15 Re: 3 from 2008 Author: Railroad39 Doug:
Were the ex Oneida & Western and Kennecott Copper units ever used as leaders, or were they trailing units only? Steve CP Belleville sub Hogger(ret). Date: 11/26/22 14:04 Re: 3 from 2008 Author: hoggerdoug They were all designated "cabs not equipped for lead freight unit standards". Eventually BCOL 748 ex O&W 9955 was upgraded, including pacesetter and RSD, and okay for lead unit service, most likely intention of the upgrade was for work train service use. The other units were a "disaster" cab-wise.
