BCOL  RCL743 ex O&W 9950, if I recall we were stopped at Colebank and had time for couple of pictures.

Doug:

Were the ex Oneida & Western and Kennecott Copper units ever used as leaders,
or were they trailing units only?

Steve

They were all designated "cabs not equipped for lead freight unit standards".  Eventually BCOL 748 ex O&W 9955 was upgraded, including pacesetter and RSD, and okay for lead unit service, most likely intention of the upgrade was for work train service use. The other units were a "disaster" cab-wise.
