Canadian Railroads > Short Train from Dartmouth, NS

A short 407 was passing the approach signal to Sandy Cove siding and crossing Halls Rd. in Enfield, NS just before 9 am on April 18, 2009.  A few years later these lights were moved about a mile to the west, giving CN's monster freights more warning of an adverse signal at the siding ahead.  In the years since this photo was taken, the trees on the side of the fill have grown taller and thicker, so the signal would be almost invisible from this point of view anyway.  The track here is running almost due east, giving a rare opportunity to shoot a westbound train in good light in the morning.
