However, neither 2860 nor its stablemate, ex-CPR 2-8-0 3716, were BCR locomotives. They were, and still are, owned directly by the B.C. government. The government was also direct owner of the initial passenger car fleet used on the Royal Hudson service. The replacement car fleet that went into service in 1994 was owned by BC Rail, but the locomotives remained government-owned. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/04/23 03:28 by railsmith.
