1. British Columbia Railway C425s-806 (ex Erie Lackawanna 2456) & 805 (ex EL 2455) are S/B at MP 647 on the Chetwynd Sub. Just out of view, to the left, is the John Hart Highway, Rt. 97. Early eve on 7-9-86, about halfway between Dokie (MP 652.7) & Pinesul (MP 640.9), BC.
2. BC Rail cabooses 1879 & 1801 (1801 still lettered British Columbia Railway) are bringing up the rear of a S/B aggregate train on the Chetwynd Sub. Early evening on 7-9-86 in Hasler Flat-Pinesul, BC.

Very Nice, Bill. That late afternoon summer light up north just can't be beat.
Interestingly enough, both of those locomotives are still running today, back east on GTV.

Keep them coming.

The farther north you go the longer the duration of "golden hour".

Nice photos!  I moved to BC in 1996, when the ALCos were still a recent memory.
